Ummm...bet you think I'm referring to the wearing of glasses by the title of this blog?! Not quite....
After sharing my thoughts on blogs with classmates and others, I am beginning to see where there could be an advantage to my students. As Alisa had suggested, using a blog in my science classes could be beneficial. Some of my students do not like writing in their journals after they have learned a concept. However, by using the computer and having the students create a blog, I think their interest level just may rise. I could have them use the blog as their journal where other students can respond; and, for the students that have computers/internet access from home, their parents can read what their child is learning.
Ok...I'm beginning to see the light.
Stay tuned next week for more of my guiding light. :)

Time to Catch up!
A new entry. I really do not like Blogs. I have a problem with posting whatever is on my mind for everyone to see. I need help in changing my attitude before I can clearly see how this type of technology can be used with my students. I do know that if and when I use Blogs with my class, it would have to be done in the classroom. Out of my 64 3rd grade students (large number because we do rotations - I have three classes), only a few have Internet access from home. I will continue to read through all of your Blogs to see if I can jump the fence to the positive side of Blogs. I'm open for suggestions. :)

What's a blog?
Greetings ITER's!
You may all know what a blog is, but I didn't until tonight. I've been hearing about this new phenomenon from the kids and through the news. I'm about to join this generation of bloggers. :)
